Government to make two rectifications – one in September, another one in November

According to official sources, the government will have two budget rectifications this year, one in September and the second one in November.The Development and Transport Ministries will be the main beneficiaries of the September rectification.

 

At the same time, sources said that during talks carried out with Ursula von der Lyen, early this week in Athens, at the meeting of South-East European heads of state and government, premier Marcel Ciolacu pointed out, while referring to the budget deficit, that Romania had additional expenses in the context of the Ukraine war and that it was the first year when defense expenses went upt to 2.5% of GDP, according to engagements assumed within NATO.

 

Talks about inclusion in the budget seficit target will continue in Brussels, possibly on September 1, in the context of an official visit premier Marcel Ciolacu will make to have tals with high European officials.

 

Before September 1, the ministers of labour, finance and investments and European projects, will have a work visit in Brussels.

 

Simona Bucura-Oprescu, the minister of labour, will go to Brussels on August 28, to have talks with EC officials about the project on special pensions, and about the reform of the pension system. On August 29, finance minister Marcel Bolos, will have talks about draft emegency orders about the administrative reform and fiscal measures. On August 30, the minister for European Projects, Adrian Caciu, will have PNRR renegociations among which the REPower EU chapter.
