The foreign minister Titus Corlatean took part on Tuesday in a working dinner of the foreign ministes of the EU and NATO in New York on the margin of the General Assembly of the UN where they discussed mainly the situation in Syria and the involvement of the international community in Afghanistan.
Corlatean showed the importance that Romania offers to the relationship of the European Union and the Republic of Moldova and Georgia and the support of the processes of consolidation of their relations with the European structures. Philip Gordon, the deputy of the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton stated on Monday that the American Administration is satisfied with the fact that the government in Bucharest keeps their commitment to observe the decisions of the constitutional court. At the same time, Gordon expressed the fact that the alliance of the US and the countries in Central Europe has roots in the mutual agreement to observe the democratic values.
