In September, the Day of Business Opportunites dedicated to the Islam Republic of Iran


His H.S dr. Seyed Hossein Sadat Meidani, the new ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentionary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Romania made a visit to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bucharest (CCIB), the Press Office of CCIB informs in a press release.


At the beginning of the meeting, Iuliu Stocklosa, chairman of CCIB made a short presentation of the Bucharest Chamber and of the economic environment in the capital in the national context, mentioning the fact that Bucharest concentrates 23% of the value of imports and 60% of the activity of scientific research in the country. In this context, Iuliu Stocklosa  spoke about the traditional relationship of collaboration in the economic domain with the Republic of  Iran, the potential of the two economies and a certain complementarity of those and expressed the conviction that there are numerous opportunities for business and investments which could be put to value by business people in the two countries.


In his turn, his H.S dr.Seyed Hossein Sadat Meidani expressed the interest of his country for the development of economic relations, and cooperation for Romania in the main domains such as agriculture, food industry, medical equipment, information technology and communications, light industry and petro-chemical industry.In  this context, he appreciated that as very useful the organization started by CCIB and the embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in September,of a new event from the series of Day of Opportunity for Business dedicated  to the economic –commercial collabotian, with the possible participation of the Iranian economic mission, which would offer the opportunity to the strong component ofB2B of the event.

In the first four months of 2021 the value of commercial exchanges Romanian-Iranian was 87.4 million USD (264 against the previous period similar to the previous year).out of which 71,9 mil.US D Romanian USD Romanian export (+38%) and  15,5 mil USD imports from Iran +68% . The Iran Islamic Republic is 42nd in the top of markets for destination for the Romanian export with a share of 0.25 of the total.The growth announced the results will be given  and discussed about out cast of 2020, when commercial exchanges were affected by the evolution of the pandemics evolution of COVID-19.
