Jerry Brown, Governor of California, received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

State Secretary for Strategic Affairs, Dan Neculaescu, received on Wednesday, Jerry Brown, Governor of California, whom he asked to explore together with the Romanian side opportunities in the field of trade and investments between Romania and California, including through trade missions, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) informs in a release.

The Romanian official pointed out the "consistency" of the Strategic Partnership between Romania and the US, especially on its political-military and security dimensions, and stressed the need to deepen its economic dimension to grow the volume of American investments in Romania both at federal level, as well as compared with the main US states. 

"The Secretary of State for Strategic Affairs addressed Governor Brown the request to explore together with the Romanian side the opportunities existing in trade and investments between Romania and the State of California, including through trade missions in order to identify concrete cooperation opportunities in sectors such as energy, automotive, aerospace, IT&C and agriculture," the MAE informs. 

Also tackled was the regional and international security situation, with the Romanian official presenting assessments on the developments in the eastern neighborhood. 

"Governor Brown thanked for the open dialogue and supported its continuation to enhance the economic exchanges between Romania and the US, evoking the outstanding resources and performance of the State of California in this field. At the same time, he voiced all his willingness to support the development of some economic collaboration projects," the release reads on.
