"King Ferdinand" frigate takes part in the BREEZE 17 multinational exercise, from 18 to 21 July
"King Ferdinand" frigate is taking part for three days in the BREEZE 17 multinational exercise, according to a release sent by the Romanian Naval Forces.
The frigate is participating from 18 to 21 July, alongside the "Zborul" missile-carrying vessel, in the drill organised by the Bulgarian Naval Forces.
"BREEZE 17 is based on a scenario envisaging a reaction to a crisis in the Black Sea area, and military vessels from Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Britain, Poland, Romania, Turkey and the US are participating in," the release specifies.
The "King Ferdinand" frigate has left the military port of Constanta on Monday to join the Standing NATO Maritime Group 2 - SNMG -2 that is operating in the Black Sea from 13 July to 1 August.
The Romanian military frigate will conduct specific missions next to the British HMS Duncan destroyer, the NATO naval group's commander.
