Klaus Iohannis met ambassadors of EU member states to talk about Brexit and NATO summit
President Iohannis had talks with ambassador of EU member states at a lunch organized by the Embassy of the Netherlands about the referendum in Great Britain and the NATO summit from Warsaw.
“About the referendum carried out in Great Britain about leaving EU or not, president Iohannis expressed his hope that British citizens would decide not to leave EU. The president of Romania pleaded in favour of strengthening EU-NATO cooperation, essential for the efficient approach of the present challenges to security,” according to the quoted source.
At the same time the president spoke with diplomats accredited to Bucharest about Romania’s accession to the Schengen area, Moldova’s European accession, migration crisis and the good organization of local elections.
