Leu appreciated on Monday against the euro but dropped against the American dollar

The national currency appreciated on Monday against the euro which was calculated by the National Bank of Romania (BNR) at 5.0886 lei dropping by 0.03 bani against the previous quoation of 5.0889 lei.

In exchange, leu dropped against the American dollar which was calculated at 4.3619 lei, up by 2.70 bani (0.62%) as compared to Friday when it was 4.3349 lei.

The national currency dropped against the Swiss Franc, calculated by BNR at 5.4593 lei, up by 1.90 bani (0.34%) against 5.4403 lei, the previous quotation.

The gold gram got more expensive by 14.5239 lei (2.69%) getting to 552.7057 lei, a new record value, from 538.1816 lei in the previous meeting.
