Romania is interested in transposing the Black Sea-Caspian Sea Freight Corridor into reality, Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodor Melescanu said on Monday upon welcoming Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Romania Shohrat Jumayev, who is on a farewell visit, according to a press release issued by the Foreign Ministry (MAE).

The Romanian dignitary congratulated the ambassador for the successful accomplishment of his mandate in Romania for over eight years and for his good command of the Romanian language, pointing out that through his activity he contributed to the development and boost of the bilateral relationship on multiple levels, stressing that Turkmenistan continues to be an important partner of Romania in Central Asia. The Romanian minister also stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation between Romania and Turkmenistan in connectivity, including by capitalizing on existing regional opportunities.

The head of the Romanian diplomacy welcomed the Turkmen youngsters' interest in choosing Romanian higher education institutions for their professional training, showing that there is already a tradition of cooperation in this field, consolidated also by the contribution of the Turkmen ambassador.
