Next week Parliament will decide about stray dogs

Premier Victor Ponta declared on Thursday that the Parliament had to decide about stray dogs the following week. He avoided to say whether he was for euthanasia but mentioned the people’s lives had to be protected.“It is clear now that after 14 years of projects and promises they all failed. A clear decision should be made,” Ponta declared about the case of stray dogs. He added that the existing laws are not applied.


Victor Ponta also said he did not think the question could be solved “in a day or a month.”

He mentioned that the Parliament had to decide the following week.He avoided answering the journalists’ questions whether he was for the euthanasia of stray dogs.“If we are talking about the life of a person or a dog it is obvious we must protect the people’s lives,” the premier said.
