Nordic Film Festival returns to Bucharest between 23 - 26 November

After Timisoara, NORDIC FILM FESTIVAL comes back with the fourth edition to Bucharest, between 23rd and 26th November at the Cinema Elvire Popesco.

In the four days of the festival, the lovers of Nordic cinema may watch 14 feature-length films, presenting the diversity and unique aspects of  Nordic space, according to the artistic approach of the film makers in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.

„ This year's selection is perhaps the best yet. We have a rich and diverse programme of award-winning films from international film festivals, covering a variety of genres. Whether you opt for romance (Girl picture) or drama (such as A Perfect Normal Family, or Backyard Village), a horror (Lamb) or historical film (Amundsen), a biography (Sonja: The White Swan), a children's film (Supermarsu 2) or a documentary (Maija Isola), you will enter an atypical and exciting cinematic space", said Vlad Rotaru, the festival's artistic director.

The festival is organised with the support of the Royal Embassy of Denmark to Bucharest, the Embassy of the Republic of Finland to Bucharest, the Consulate of the Republic of Iceland to Romania, the Embassy of Norway to Romania and the Embassy of Sweden to Bucharest.

The first edition of NordicFF took place in 2018 in Bucharest, being followed by another two editions in Bucharest (2020, 2022) and two retrospective editions in Sibiu and Kishinev (2019). In September this year, Nordic Film Festival was hosted in Timisoara for the first time.
