Nuclearelectrica shares trading on BVB starts on Monday

The shares issued by Nuclearelectrica National Company will be traded, starting on Monday, November 4, on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), on Equities Sector, Tier 2 Shares, informs BVB in a release remitted to Agerpres.

The trading commencement was approved by the BVB Board in the meeting on Thursday, the operation also having the BVB Listing Committee (CAT) favourable notice.

The initial public offer of selling 10 precent of Nuclearelectrica National Company shares took place in the interval September 9-20, 2013 and it was a success. An allocation right was attached to each share of the Nuclearelectrica National Company offer. The allocation rights were traded at BVB in the period October 4-28, 2013.

Nuclearelectrica is a single site nuclear utility in Romania. The company operates two CANDU-6 type reactors with natural uranium as fuel and heavy water as moderator and cooling agent.

Nuclearelectrica has two subsidiaries: Cernavoda Nuclear Power Plant and Pitesti Nuclear Fuel Plant, producing the nuclear fuel for the two reactors. With its two units, with 706 MWh capacity each, the company covers approximately 20 percent of the national energy consumption.
