Over 500,000 euro for development of partnership between Galati county and Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region in France
The partnership between the Galati county and the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region in France, which has been going on for 18 years, will benefit from a budget of over 550,000 euro for the development of bilateral relations in several areas, President of the Galati County Council (CJ) Costel Fotea said on Thursday.
According to him, in the last meeting of the Galati CJ, a new Bilateral Agreement has been approved, as well as the Action Plan for 2019-2021, with a total budget of 553,280 euro, out of which 30,000 euro will be ensured from the Galati County Council budget, 176,800 euro being ensured by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Regional Council, with the difference following to be ensured by a series of Romanian and French partners within the cooperation programme.
The cooperation programme framework aims to strengthen the already existing relations in the area of public administration, medical services, education and research.
Costel Fotea also said that the partnership between the Galati county and the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region will also be aimed at the collaboration within some research programmes, such as those in the medical area, the aquaculture or agri-food sector.
