Parliament has given the green light for the production of renewable energy on degraded agricultural land

The plenary of the deputies’ chamber has voted, on Wednesday, the amendment and completion of the law 18/1991 which will allow the construction of parks for renewable energy production on agricultural land of 3rd, 4th and 5th class of quality, with the category of  arable use, pasture, vineyards and orchards, as well as those arranged with land improvement works, announced liberal (PNL) deputy Ervin Molnar.

‘Through the law voted today, we offer a framework destined to the authorisation and development of production facilities for renewable  energy in an easy way and to encourage investments in the domain’ the liberal MP says.

The senate as first chamber has adopted the draft law during the meeting of 2nd February 2022. Important to mention, all specialty commissions included in the deputies’ chamber as well as the legislative council and the economic and social council have favourably approved the draft law which we voted today in the plenary, Molnar says.
