Pianist Simon Trpceski – recital at “George Enescu”International Contest
Simon Trpceski, one of the most valuable world pianists will hold a recital at the Romanian Athenaeum on September 21. The show is part of the program of the 19th edition of the International Contest, ARTEXIM informs in a press release.
The program includes Chopin's Mazurkas op.24, Grieg's Holberg Suite op.40, Hayden's Piano Sonata in C minor Hob. XVI/20 and Prokofiev's Piano Sonata no.7 in B flat major op.83.
A cultural project financed by the government, through the Ministry of Culture, organized by Artexim, “George Enescu”International Contest is held every two years in Bucharest, under the high patronage of Romania's President.
Launched in the international stage 20 years ago as a BBC New Generation artist, the Macedonian pianist Simon Trpceski has had a career with a rapid evolution, which has not been prevented by cultural or musical borders.
Trpceski collaborated with over 100 world orchestras and worked with a series of presticious conductors like Vladimir jurowski, Antonio Pappano, Vasily Petrenko, Cristian Macelaru, Lorin Maazel, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Gustavo Dudamel, Gabriel Bebeselea and David Zinman.
His long lasting connection with the Liverpool Royal Philharmonic, consolidated during Vasily Petrenko's mandate produced an ample discography. During his career the pianist received numerous prizes and distinctions, and in 2011 he received the title of National Artist of North Macedonia.
