PM Dancila: companies în UAE are interested in building the Bucharest port on the Danube-Bucharest canal
Prime Minister Viorica Dancila on Wednesday announced that a company in the United Arab Emirates wants to invest more than 100 million US dollars in logistics and industrial parks in Romania.
"First of all, we met with the Prime Minister, with whom we discussed the possibility of cooperation and the United Arab Emirates making investments in Romania and we presented the projects launched by the Government under a public-private partnership. We also discussed a good cooperation between ministers," specified Dancila in a call-in with Antena 3 private television broadcaster.
The head of the Executive said that she had a meeting with the representatives of a company operating in the logistics field, which plans to invest more than 100 million US dollars in logistics and industrial parks in Curtici, Aiud, Craiova, Constanta, Bucharest and Prahova County.
"Moreover, they are interested in building the Bucharest port on the Danube-Bucharest canal and they will come next week for discussions on this," said Dancila.
The PM also said that her visit to the United Arab Emirates will continue with meetings with the businessmen and representatives of a large investment fund.
"The Minister of Health is also going to meet with the physicians who studied in Romania and I hope that good things will materialize in this field. We will have a series of meetings focusing agriculture and economy. What is important is to see the result of these meeting and I trust that they will materialize in a good cooperation with these states and in investments in Romania," said Dancila.
