PresidentialElections2024/BEC partial results as of 9AM: Calin Georgescu - 23.14%;Marcel Ciolacu - 19.67%; Elena Lasconi - 17.87%
Independent candidate Calin Georgescu obtained 23.14% of the valid votes in the first round of the presidential elections, Social Democratic Party (PSD) candidate Marcel Ciolacu garnered 19.67%, and Save Romania Union (USR) candidate Elena Lasconi got 17.87%, according to the partial results centralised by the Central Electoral Bureau (BEC) until Monday, at 9:00 AM.
According to BEC, data from 17,855 out of 19,919 polling stations in Romania and abroad have been centralised, representing 89.64%.
Save Romania Union (USR) Chairperson Elena Lasconi has a lead of several thousand votes over the Social Democratic Party (PSD) leader, Marcel Ciolacu, in the presidential elections, according to the parallel vote count by the Save Romania Union (USR).
The announcement was made by USR campaign coordinator Cristian Seidler, during a press conference held at the USR headquarters.
