Romania and the U.S. initiate monthly consultation process on topics of bilateral interest

Romania and the U.S. initiated a monthly consultations process, dedicated to reviewing the topics of bilateral interest, a Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) release informs.
Moreover, within a meeting held on Monday between Romanian Foreign Affairs Ramona Manescu and U.S. Ambassador Hans Klemm, it was reiterated the firm commitment to further enlarge the cooperation between Romania and the U.S., including by materialising the potential generated by the recent signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on civil nuclear cooperation, a MAE release informs.
The agenda of discussions also included relevant topics for the regional security, including in terms of energy supply security, as well as boosting and strengthening the Strategic Partnership between Romania and the U.S., following the recent high-level visits to Washington, D.C., and New York, the MAE release showed.
