Romania participates with 24 inventions to the International Invention Salon in Geneva
Romania participates this year in the International Invention Salon in Geneva with 24 inventions between April 2 and 6, the Ministry of Education announced. Besides the national stand there will be stands of Romanian inventors who participate as independents with 8 inventions.
Romania is also represented by Radu Ioan Munteanu, former rector of Cluj Napoca Technical University, Doru Dumitru Palade, former minister of research and technology and Constantin Oprean, former rector and now president of Lucian Blaga University in Sibiu, in the International Jury of the competition. As of 2010, Mircea Tudor, president of MBTelecom, Grand Prize winner of Geneva Salon in 2009, also joined the international jury.
On April 4, 3.00 p.m. Romania’s Day, an event promoting national research, will be organized at Romania’s stand under the aegis of the Ministry of National Education. The event will be attended, next to the delegation of Romanian inventors, by representatives of the Romanian Embassy in Switzerland, of the Romanian UN Mission in Geneva and of international organizations based in Switzerland. At the present edition Romania participates with 24 inventions in a national stand of 32 sq. m. The award ceremony will be held the same day at 7.15 p.m..
The Geneva International Invention Salon, a prestigious world event is organized under the high patronage of the Swiss government, Swiss state and of Geneva as well as the World Organization for Intellectual Property.
