Romania's currency appreciates against main foreign currencies on Monday
The national currency appreciated against the euro, the National Bank of Romania (BNR) on Monday announcing an exchange rate of 4.3867 lei/euro, down 0.30 bani (-0.07 percent), compared to 4.3897 lei/euro in the previous session.
The leu also appreciated to the US dollar, with an exchange rate for Monday standing at 3.2262 lei, lower by 0.38 bani (-0.12 percent), compared with the rate announced on the previous day, of 3.2300 lei for one dollar.
The gram of gold declined in price on Monday by 1.0101 lei (-0.74 percent), down to 136.2176 lei, compared with the level of 137.2277 lei, established on Friday.
