Romania's finance ministry intends to sell 5.2 billion lei ($1.29 billion/1.07 billion euro) worth of government securities in February, including 600 million lei in non-competitive offers, it said on Friday.

The finance ministry plans seven auctions of government securities with residual maturity ranging from three to fourteen years and one auction of one-year Treasury bills, according to its February debt issuance plan published in the Official Gazette.

The ministry sold 7.3 billion lei worth of government securities in January, above the planned amount of 5.1 billion lei, data by Romania's central bank shows.

Last year, the finance ministry sold some 73.7 billion lei and 2.3 billion euro ($2.7 billion) worth of domestic T-bills and T-bonds. It has also sold 8.8 billion euro and $3.3 billion from worth of debt paper on international markets.
