Romania to participate in the first edition of the ITB Shanghai International Tourism Fair, May 10-12

Romania will participate in the first edition of the ITB Shanghai International Tourism Fair, from May 10 to 12, the event being exclusively dedicated to the business segment of the tourism industry, announced on Friday, the Tourism Ministry, in a press release. 

According to the source, over 600 top "hosted buyers" from China have confirmed their participation in the event and will hold pre-scheduled meetings with participants from different countries. 

The fair is exclusively B2B oriented, targeting only the actors in the tourism industry, without any public component. Romania will be present at ITB Shanghai with a 18 square metres stand, within the European Union pavilion. 

"The participating Romanian companies will have meetings in order to promote tourist attractions in Bucharest, the Danube Delta, Brasov, as well as from other parts of our country, and to have tourist packages contracted for these places (...). The Ministry of Tourism attaches great importance to the development of this market, especially that 2018 will be declared as the EU-China Travel Year," mentions the relevant ministry. 

GDS.Travel, Rolandia, Exact Tours and Phoenix Travels will attend ITB Shanghai on behalf of Romania.
