Tarom resumes flights to Tel Aviv
TAROM airlines has announced that it will resume its regular flights from Bucharest to and from Tel Aviv.
According to the air company, TAROM will operate including its Wednesday's RO153/4 flight due to take off from the Bucharest airport at 08:55 pm and land on the Tel Aviv airport at 11:30 pm. The return flight RO154 of July 24, 2014 is set to leave from Tel Aviv at 00:30 am and to land in Bucharest at 03:15 am.
The airline canceled its Tuesday evening flight from Bucharest to Tel Aviv, after receiving a notification from the Israeli authorities saying that the Ben Gurion airport in Tel Aviv was not safe.
The passengers of the canceled flight received assistance from the company, according to the Regulation EC261/2004 regarding the passengers' rights.
TAROM will offer its passengers the possibility to change their travel dates without asking them to pay the usual extra charges, as well as the possibility to just return the tickets and get their money back. The passengers' refunding requests will be addressed to the issuing agencies of the tickets or the other TAROM operators.
Depending on developments in Israel, TAROM will announce its Tel Aviv flights schedule, and will stay in touch with the Israeli airport authorities and with the European Aviation Safety Agency, which is permanently monitoring the situation.
