The 9th edition of the SoNoRo Festival , October 31 - November 17 in Bucharest, Cluj and Iasi
The ninth edition of the SoNoRo Festival will take place between October 31 - November 17 in Bucharest, Cluj and Iasi and will be financially backed by the German Embassy in Bucharest.
According to a release of the German Embassy, on October 17, ambassador Werner Hans Lauk and musician Razvan Popovici have signed a financing contract regarding the SoNoRo festival.
"We are very glad we can contribute to the development of this renowned festival", said ambassador Lauk when signing the contract.
The ninth edition of the SoNoRo Festival's tagline is "Bridges".
SoNoRo "Bridges", inspired by some of the most famous bridges in the world - Radetzky in Vienna, Brooklyn in New York, Alexander-Newsky in St. Petersburg or the Rialto in Venice - offers to the public this year 17 varied concerts: from the magical tunes of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Edward Elgar or Johannes Brahms to the experimental music of John Cage and from the sacred harmonies of the works of Gesualdo or Monteverdi to the uncompromising creations of Shostakovich or the divine quintet of Franz Schubert.
Among the high points of the festival one may find, among others, a magical night with the Tarkovski Quartet and an evening with famous violinist Roby Lakatos and his band.
