The ambassador of the Netherlands : Romania should reform the justice to draw investors


Romania should reform the justice, as they promised when they accessed the EU in 2007 to draw investors, the ambassador of the Netherlands Matthijs van Bonzel wrote on Twitter after the minister of economy Andrei Gerea invited the Dutch investors to invest in state companies.


To have Romanian and foreign investments ‘it would be best’ to ‘ have legislative reforms in justice’ and as regards corruption’ promised in 2007 at Romania’s accession to the EU, monitored through the MCV ‘ the Dutch diplomat said on Twitter.At the same time, Matthijs van Bonzel says that the minister Andrei Gerea invited foreign investors to invest in state companies, where ‘ the reforms are delayed’.


The minister of economy, Andrei Gerea received on Monday the ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Romania Matthijs van Bonzel, occasion on which ‘ the two officials discussed about the stage of bilateral relations, appreciating the level of commercial exchanges as being very high, capable to encourage other joined future projects’ a press release of the ministry of economy says.


At the same time, minister Gerea sent to the ambassador of the Netherlands ‘ a list of the companies in the portfolio of the minister which are undergoing privatisation and investments drawing, showing the openness of the Romanian party for the continuation of the discussions concerning concrete issues of interest for future collaborations’.
