The Finances will borrow in December almost six billion lei from banks

The minister of public finances (MFP) planned, for December 2019 loans from the commercial banks worth 5,945 billion lei, out of which one billion lei through two emissions of treasury bonds with discount and 4.3 billion lei through eight emissions of state bonds, plus 645 million lei through supplementary sessions of non-competitive offers, connected to the bids for bonds.

The sum is higher by approximately 1.84 billion lei against the programmed one for November and will be destined to the refinancing of the public debt and the financing of the deficit of the state budget.

On 5th December there is programmed a bid  for treasury bonds with discount, worth 5 million lei, on a period of 198 days, the maturity day being 24 June 2020. Another bid, similarly worth 500 million lei will take place on 19th December, with maturity day on 21 December 2020 ( 364 days).

Similarly, the Finances programmed eight emissions of bonds type benchmark with total worth 4.3 billion lei, followed the second day by a supplementary session of non-competitive offers, worth 15% of the initial value of the bonds emission (645 million lei as a total). The emissions will be 200 million lei ( one emission) 500 million lei ( five emissions) and 800 million lei ( two emissions).
The MFP order regarding the prospects of emission of the treasury bonds with discount and the state bonds type benchmark for December was published on Friday in the Official Gazette.
