The new Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Romania is Todor Ivanov Churov

Foreign Affairs Minister Lazar Comanescu received on Thursday the new Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Romania, Todor Ivanov Churov, due to the presentation of the copies of the letters of credence, context in which the two officials underlined the positive developments in the bilateral relations and exchanged points of view in regards to collaboration of the two countries in the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. 

According to the Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE), the two interlocutors expressed their satisfaction towards the positive developments recorded in the past years on a bilateral level, both from the political-diplomatic perspective but as well as from an economic point of view. 

"In this context, the visits Romania's Prime Minister and President payed this year to Bulgaria were mentioned, as well as the significant growth of the commercial exchange levels of approximately 4 billion Euros. The necessity of a better capitalization on the sectoral cooperation potential through the implementation and diversification of projects in areas such as energy, transport, infrastructure and regional development, were highlighted," the release reveals. 

The Romanian dignitary assured the Bulgarian official about the entire support of Romanian authorities in order to complete his duties during his tenure in Romania, the release points out.
