The New Year Concert at the Philarmonic ‘George Enescu’ – Thursday, without public, online

The New Year Concert of the Philarmonic ‘George Enescu’ led by the Italian conductor David Crescenzi, will be streamed today, at 19:00 live from the Big Hall of the Romanian Atheneum, on the online channels of the institution.

According to the press release of the Philarmoninc sent on Tuesday, the programmed of  the concert without public is made up of the Ouverture of The Barber of Seville by Gioacchino Rossini, th Flowers Waltz from Nutcracker by Piotr Illici Ceiakovski, the Hungarian Dances no.3,5,6 by Johannes Brahms and Imperial Waltz, Polka auf Der Jagd, Polka Tritsch-Tratsch, the Polka Pizzicatto, Polka Under Donner und Blitz, the Waltz the Blue Danube, the Radetzky March by Johann Strauss son.

The concert on 7th January can be followed on the online channels of the Philarmonic ‘ George Enescu’ site, the Facebook page and YouTube channel.

The show will be streamed on the Facebook page of Radio Romania Muzical.

David Crescenzi was first known as pianist and assistant conductor in different theatres and festivals, both in Italy and abroad, and at present he works as orchesta and choir conductor.

With the National Opera Bucharest he led the operas Rigoletto and Figaro’s Weddings in 2006.

In 2007, he took part with the Romanian National Opera in Timisoara in the International Festival ‘George Enescu’ in Bucharest, conducting Tosca by Puccini. In Timisoara, he led workshops for students in canto classes from the National College ‘Ion Vidu’ Timisoara and the Music Faculty in the University of the West (2010-2011).

At present, he is artistic manager of the Lyrical Theatre in Cairo.
