The Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship USS Fort McHenry (LSD 43) of the United States Navy arrived on Monday morning in southeastern Constanta port where it will make a stopover for three days on its voyage in the Black Sea, a press release of the Romanian Navy Staff (SMFN) informs.

According to the cited source, from 7 to 10 January the USS Fort McHenry will be paying a visit in Constanta Port, where it will be docked in the passenger terminal.

"During the layover, the leadership of the Command Fleet will receive the visit of the USS Fort McHenry ship representatives and a detachment of the 307 Infantry Marine Regiment will carry out a fact-finding visit on board the US ship," the SMFN press release shows.

Upon leaving the port on Thursday, USS Fort McHenry and the King Ferdinand frigate (F-221) will conduct a series of joint training activities in Romania's territorial waters and the international waters of the Black Sea.
