Virgil Popescu: I encourage the increase in the volume of investments of American companies in Romania in the energy field

Energy Minister Virgil Popescu said on Wednesday, at the Romania-US Economic Forum, that he encourages the increase in the volume of investments of American companies in Romania, in the energy field, but also companies in Romania to access funds to produce and use renewable energy, for self-consumption.

“I have said that I encourage the increase in the volume of investments of American companies in Romania, in the energy field. We already have a strengthened strategic partnership in this area, through which we will jointly make massive investments in the development of the civilian nuclear program, to ensure our independence and energy security. Through cooperation and investment, we will be able to achieve this goal,” the minister said in a Facebook post.

Virgil Popescu states that ‘ he encourages the companies in Romania to access funds to produce and use renewable energy, for self-consumption, and in this process their effort will be supported, so that costs will drop, and the industry comes more competitive’.
