Agriculture: Romania imported farm produce and food of 770 million euros from Italy in 2022
Romania imported, last year, farm produce and food of over 770 million euros from Italy, on the rise by 21.5% , compared to the previous year, 82% of them being processed food and beverages.
According to a press release of the Italian Agency for Foreign Trade, the main Italian produce imported by Romania in 2022 were dairy products and cheeses (72.4 million euros), coffee (69.5 million euros), bakery products and pastries (64.5 million euros).
In its turn, Romania exported to Italy farm produce and food of over one billion euros, an advance of over 25% against 2021, Italy being the first country for Romanian exports in this category (24% of these exports represent food produce and beverages).
The Italian Foreign Trade Agency is the Italian government agency supporting the promotion and development of commercial exchanges between Italy and the rest of the world, supporting the internationalization of Italian companies, especially small and medium size ones and the implementation of their activities in foreign markets, promoting at the same time foreign investments in Italy.
