National Mineral Waters Company merges with Germisara, enters spa & wellness tourism industry

The National Mineral Waters Company (SNAM), a company running 100pct on state capital, under the subordination of the Ministry of Economy, has merged by absorption with Germisara, an entity whose sole shareholder is the Ministry of Economy.

According to a press release sent on Wednesday, as a result of this merger, SNAM adds to its portfolio a new license for the exploitation of balneo-therapeutic mineral waters located in the Geoagiu Bai resort and thus becomes a supplier in the area of balneology, spa medicine, and wellness.

The decision regarding the merger between SNAM and Germisara was finalized on December 31, 2022, following a procedure that lasted almost a year.

Last year, the company sold 1.07 million litres of water and made a profit of 2.9 million RON, on a turnover of 44.7 million RON.
