Tourism: Ministry of Tourism launches Cultural-Tourist Route “Folk masters and traditional crafts in Romania”

The Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Tourism launched on Friday the Cultural-Tourist Route “Folk masters and traditional crafts in Romania”, at Romania's Tourism Fair.

We launch today, the route 'Folk masters and traditional crafts in Romania', including the county councils of Suceava, Maramures, Neamt and Botosani. On this occasion, I would like to announce that we also launched this route in the Republic of Moldova, and it became a transnational route,” said Tudorita Lungu, secretary of state in the ministry, present at the event.

 

In his turn, Daniel Les, a handicraftsman from Maramures, showed that tourists are very interested in experimenting and trying handicrafts from traditional areas themselves.

 

Romanian tourism needs this route, each tourist visiting us trying to experiment and touch. It is our duty to bring along these values, to educate the young generation. They are Romanian values, we must preserve handicrafts. Without them Romania would not be what it is today,” Les added.

 

Romexpo organized, over November 10-13, in partnership with the Chamber of Trade and Industry of Romania and th National Association of Travel Agencies, Romania's Tourism Fair, fall edition. Representatives of nine countries: Bulgaria, Canada, Egypt, Israel, Maldives, Palestine, Romania and Turkey participated.
