Hidroelectrica wants to sell other 14 micro-hydrounits for 10.4 million euro in January

The producer of electricity Hidroelectrica will get to public auction ( outcry tender) on 23 and 24 January 2014 a new series of 14 micro-hydro power units for which they hope to get at least 46.2 million lei ( 10.4 million euro).”We will have for sale, through outcry tender another 14 micro-hydro power units grouped in 7 assets packages, the total price of the auctions being 46.2 million lei ( almost 10.4 million euro)”according to a press release of the state company.

The decision to sell micro-hydro units was taken in AGM Hidroelectrica on Friday. A first series of 14 micro-hydro power units was sold in June for the total sum of 46.8 million lei ( 10.5 million euro).

Hidroelectrica proposed to sell, between 2013 – 2014 a number of 88 micro-hydro power units which is under 1% of the total installed power, as they mean operating costs and maintainance significantly higher than the income they generate, and the company lacks the necessary resources for investments, to ensure profit by green certificates, the press release shows.
