Nicolescu: I proposed to KazMunayGas to build a chemical complex in Dobrogea

The government proposed to the company KazMunayGas who owns Rompetrol to build in Dobrogea a chemical complex with money from the billion dollar promised by the Kazah company, stated on Wednesday the minister delegated for energy Razvan Nicolescu.

One of the suggestions of the Romanian state to the Rompetrol people for a possible investment to use that billion of dollars is the building of a chemical complex in the Dobrogea area. No decision has been taken yet. Besides the complex, we proposed the investment of some sums in gas deposits. They proposed the acquisition of fuel stations already built, but we did not accept and we will not accept such a thing. We can talk about new fuel stations’ Nicolescu said, in a conference organised by Ziarul Financiar.

According to a memorandum signed between the Government and KazMunayGas, the two parties will set up a fund owned in proportion of 80% by the company and 20% by the Romanian state through which investment of almost 1 billion dollars will be made, for a period of seven years.
