BRD to remove, as of January 6, 2015, the commissioning of the inter- and intra-bank payments in lei

BRD Groupe Société Générale will remove, as of January 6, 2015, the commissioning of the inter- and intra-bank payments in lei, as well as fees related to the SWIFT inter-bank payments in foreign currencies, the bank's representatives announced on Monday in a press release.

Also, the commissions for online banking services and for those related to bank cards will be expressed in the national currency. 

The bank's management announced that BRD is moving to a new commissioning of operations for individual customers, which is aimed at simplifying the structure of commissions, with benefits to using basic bank products and services, such as current account, debit card and internet banking, mobile banking services and customer care centre of BRD by reducing the costs of their use. 

The first phase of the measures to simplify the commissions took effect on November 6, 2014, and the second stage will be applied from January 6, 2015. 

BRD-Groupe Société Générale is the second-largest bank in Romania in terms of total assets, with a base of 2.3 million customers.
