Eximbank is considering the possibility of concluding financial cooperation agreement with Eximbank China
Eximbank is considering the possibility of concluding a financial cooperation agreement with Eximbank China, in the context in which our instruments comply with both the requirements of the European Union and the best practices in international banking, Traian Halalai, the Eximbank Chairman, on Tuesday told the China-Central and Eastern Europe Business Forum in Bucharest.
‘We have analysed together with all parties, our majority shareholder and the Ministry of Public Finance, the possibility of concluding a financial cooperation agreement with Eximbank China, especially with our instruments complying with both the requirements of the European Union and the best practices in international banking. I believe that all the institutions involved will have thus the chance to participate in the effort meant for stimulating economic growth and, given the huge potential of development between the two countries, we believe that we will get satisfactory results and visible in the long run too', said the head of Eximbank.
‘Eximbank Romania is showing full readiness to cooperate with our counterparts from China and to get involved in such concrete projects to help stimulate investments by Chinese companies in Romania, in the context of the financial programme worth 10 billion dollars created by the Chinese authorities with a view to strengthening cooperation with states in Central and Eastern Europe', Traian Halalai also said.
Eximbank (Romania's Export - Import Bank) is an institution specialized in financing, guarantees and insurance, which supports the activity and development of exporters, of the SME sector and also of companies that develop projects in priority areas for the development of the economy, especially such companies that contribute to the absorption of EU funds.
