Net assets of investment funds have increased in September by 1.4% up to 46.5 billion lei

The net assets of the 207 funds open and closed, local and foreign, have increased in September by1.4 % up to the level of 46.5 billion lei (9.8 billion euro) registering growth of 11% since the beginning of the year, according to a press release of the Association of the Administrators of Funds.

In September, the net inflows of the month totalized 269 million lei (56.7 million euro).

According to the press release, the most performing 5 funds over the last 12 months have registered annual yields between 19% and 23.9%. On a horizon of 36 months, the most performing 5 funds have yields between 53% and 65.2% obtained during three years ( against September 2016).

The net assets of the 81 open local funds have increased in September by 1.7% up to 23.9 billion lei ( 5 billion euro) while the growth in the current year reached 10.6%.

The open local funds benefitted from net inflow of 242.9 million lei (51.3 million euro) in September, mainly bonds funds and instruments with fixed income (204.2 million lei), diversified (32.1 million lei), those under the category ‘ other funds’ (7..9 million lei) the action one (4.6 million lei) and those with guaranteed capital (0.3 million lei) while the funds of absolute yield (- 6.2 million lei) have registered net outflow.

Similarly, the net assets expressed in lei of the 96 open foreign funds distributed in Romania have increased in September with 3.9% as compared to the previous month, up to 0.89 billion lei (0.19 billion euro), the growth from the beginning of the year being 17.7%.

The open foreign funds distributed in Romania with a share of 3.6% in the total of the assets of the open investment funds have registered in the reported month net inflow of 26.1 million lei (5.5 million euro).

The net assets of the 30 closed funds ( including SIF and FP) have increased by 0.9% in September, up to 21.7 billion lei ( 4.6 billion euro). The local closed funds had outflow of 0.3 million lei in the reported month.

The association of funds administrators is the professional non-governmental organization of the operators in the industry of Bodies of Collective placement of Romania which gathers 18 companies of investment administration ( SAI), Fondul Proprietatea, 5 financial investment companies (SIF) and 4 banks. Starting with December 2007 AAF is a member of the European Fund and asset Management Association (EFAMA).
