Last year, as many as 11,500 new vehicles were registered through operational leasing, representing over 17 percent of the total registrations of new cars and light commercial vehicles in Romania.

The aggregate turnover of the local operational leasing market reached 200 million euros at end-2013, and its potential is estimated at 220 million euros for 2014. ASLO estimates that the market could grow by 5 percent in 2014 to reach over 45,000 vehicles, with a total of more than new 15,000 cars delivered throughout 2014.

The ASLO members represent 90 percent of the total market.
