SIFs net assets advance 2.1 percent in March


The net assets of the five financial investment companies (SIFs) advanced in March 2.1 percent in lei and 6.3 percent in euros and the discount at which the SIF stocks are traded on the stock market remains significant, ranging between 38.11 percent and 50.12 percent of the net asset value per share.

According to the data released by the Fund Management Association (AAF), the SIF aggregate net assets at the end of March reached 6.6 billion lei, namely 1.5 billion euros.

The net assets of SIF2 Moldova increased most, by 5.83 percent, while the net assets of SIF3 Muntenia dropped 4.16 percent in March.

SIF5 Oltenia manages the highest net assets, accounting for 1.549 billion lei, being placed first, followed by SIF1 Banat-Crisana, with 1.41 billion lei.

The shares of SIF5 Oltenia ended the month of February at a price of 1.44 lei per share, dropping 0.3 percent from the end of February 2013, the trading discount standing at 46.09 percent from the net asset value per share.

In the reference period, the SIF2 Moldova shares advanced 0.1 percent, with the closing price standing at 1.483 lei per share and the discount, at 38.11 percent.
