Biofarm, net profit of almost 70 million RON in 9 months
The drug manufacturer Biofarm registered a net profit of 69.9 million RON in the first nine months of the year, up 6% compared to the same period last year, according to a company statement.
The turnover increased by 10%, reaching 229 million RON, compared to 209 million RON in 2022. EBITDa reached 81.6 million RON during the mentioned period.
In the first nine months of 2023, Biofarm occupied the 2nd place in the CHC (Consumer Healthcare) segment, in terms of the number of units sold. In terms of value, the company consolidated its sales to the final consumer, recording an increase of over 15% compared to the first nine months of 2022, compared to the purchase price in pharmacies.
according to the source, the therapeutic areas with the greatest absolute increase in value in the first nine months of the year, in which Biofarm is active, were cold & flu, pain, magnesium-based supplements, digestion and nasal decongestants. The Biofarm brands associated with these therapeutic areas registered increases in their stock market share.
