Building materials manufacturer Leier announces investments of over25 million euros in Romania

 

The Austrian building materials manufacturer Leier announced on Monday that the group was having cumulated investments of over 25 million euros in Romania and will open two concrete factories în Simand, Arad county and Catcau, Cluj county next year, while other investments will be made to build a new concrete prefab section in Iasi and developing and upgrading of production processes in the present factories of the group. The two factories will be completed in Catcau in March 2021 and Simand in July 2021, declared company representatives.

 

Leier group has been present in the local market since 2006, the Alb? factory being the first opened in Romania under its name, while in 2019 it consolidated its position by purchasing Siceram, the only ceramic block manufacturer in Romania.

 

According to company data, the business figure recorded by Leier in 2019 was over 5 million euros, on the rise by 25% against the previous year. It was based on the manufacture of concrete prefabs and other high quality special products.

 

Leier Group is active in seven countries (Austria, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Romania, Croatia and Ukraine) in the field of manufacturing building materials, sale and service of premium cars (BMW, Mini, Hyundai and Skoda), real estate and mechanical engineering.

 

Leier Group has now a business figure of over 350 million euros in over 40 factories. In 2007 the majority share package was taken over by Advent International, and in 2014 the majority package of the company was taken over by ADM Capital investment fund.

 

More
