Carmistin Group business grew by 9% last year
Carmistin Group, one of the biggest player in the food market in Romania intends to double pork meat output from 200,000 pigs/year to 400,000 pig/year at the end of 2019, by completing investments of two new production units. At group level, the business figure grew by 8.6% last year, to 676.4 million lei (over 148 million euros), from 623.1 million lei in 2016.
Carmistin Group recorded a profit of 59.8 million lei (13 million euro) in 2017, according to financial situations audited by KPMG. This is an increase by 31.5% compared to the result recorded in 2016 - 45.5 million lei.
In agriculture, growing cereals and fodder production, brought an operational profit of 16.45 million lei, a 77% increase compared to 2016, to businesses of 134 million lei, compared to 112.6 million lei the previous year.
Carmistin Group, set up in 2000 by Paraschiv family, obtained a substantial increase of operational incomes on the background of technological development and the optimization strategy applied at group level.
Carmistin, a group including companies like Avicarvil, Avicarvil Foods, Avirom, Porcellino or Pajo Agriculutura and Pajo Holding, is one of the few integrated Romanian agricultural holdings operating as a chain, starting from working the land, animal husbandry, fodder production and meat product manufacture and sale in 150 stores of group companies.
