Cosmetic Plant: Over 20% business growth in the first semester and new export destinations for the company
* Cosmetic Plant launched exports to France and Cyprus
* Business will grow by 10% for the full year
Cosmetic Plant, a leading local manufacturers of cosmetics, reported in the first six months of this year an increased turnover, up by over 20% compared to the same period of the last year, a press release to ACTMedia informs. Also, in the first semester of 2016 the company both expand exports to countries where it was already present and also penetrated new markets in Europe.
"The increase in turnover in the first half of this year was based on several factors. Thus, widening the distribution network and the range of Cosmetic Plant to the already existing partners, launching the Lift UP and Honey & Mother bee milk range at the end of 2015 and the exports had a positive impact on these results", said Susana Laszlo, Director General of Cosmetic Plant.
According to her statement, the company's business in the first half of the year reached approx. 6 million lei (approx. 1.33 million euros), compared with approx. 5 million lei (approx. 1.11 million euros) in the first half of 2015. In terms of delivered products volumes, the grow was by 15% compared to the same period last year, to over 655,000 pieces.
"The largest increases in sales were recorded for the BIOLIV (thanks to awarness and awards received in recent years), cellulite (due to the expansion of the assortment in 2015) and Cocos (which includes four new products that are based on BIO coconut oil and was launched this season) ranges”, added Susana Laszlo.
Regarding exports, between January-June 2016, the company has partnered with new customers in Spain and Greece. Meanwhile, in Hungary, where there is already an official office since 2014, has been extended collaboration with leading local distributors and pharmacy chains, and the range in this market was expanded with 17 new products. Also, Cosmetic Plant launched exports to two new markets, France and Cyprus.
Plans for the future - higher turnover and new investments
After the investments made in the first half of the year, the company aims that by the end of 2016 to continue the project for upgrading the production unit by allocating new funds. It also aims to expand Cosmetic Plant finished goods warehouse and to renovate the office area.
Regarding the plans for the current year, Susana Laszlo estimated that the company's business will grow by over 10% compared to 2015, when it reached approx. 2 million euros.
