L'Oréal Romania welcomes Vanya Panayotova as its new Country General Manager
The L'Oréal Group has appointed Vanya Panayotova as Country General Manager for L’Oreal Romania, effective starting January 2019, the company informs in a statement sent to ACTMedia. Vanya was nominated following Mr. Gilles Antoine’s appointment into a new position in the Group. Between now and January 2019, Javier Labarta, with an extended experience as General Manager within L'Oréal, will ensure the transition period, as Interim Country General Manager.

Vanya Panayotova has a comprehensive first-hand experience on the Romanian market, where she activated on two different roles before, as General Manager of Orbico Romania and as Sector Manager Market Strategy & Planning Balkans Markets at P&G.
Vanya has 20 years of successful experience in the FMCG sector and an impressive career in leading international companies and big entrepreneurial business. She started her career at P&G and continued her development at Mondelez International where she held positions with increased responsibility in Eastern Europe and Africa Middle East. In 2017, she returned to Romania and joined Orbico, a leading distributor company that operates in 19 markets, as General Manager. Throughout her time in the company she managed to double the size of the business and to integrate the local company into the Group’s standards.
Javier Labarta joined L'Oréal 27 years ago. He has an extended and successful carrer with roles of increasing responsibility at Country and then Zone level. Javier has worked for L'Oréal in Spain, Argentina, Venezuela and Mexico before joining the headquarters in France as Zone General Manager for Latin America Luxury Division. Then he moved to USA as C.E.O. of L'Oréal Travel Retail Americas and in the last years he has been the Country General Manager of L'Oréal Central America, position he hold before coming to this mission in Romania.
