Over 12,600 companies in CCIR ranking of 2018 best performing businesses
Over 12,600 companies with a combined turnover in excess of 178 billion euros are among the top performing companies of 2018, as per the ranking made by the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIR), the institution said in a release.
According to CCIR, the 12,603 companies that made it to the top-10 ranking by several criteria have a combined turnover of about 178.48 billion euros, an operating profit of roughly 14.87 billion euros, employ a total of 1,340,310 people and operate in various sectors as follows: 4,466 in industry; 3,521 in the service sector; 2,615 in trade; 312 in tourism; 468 in R&D and high-tech; 643 in agriculture, forestry and fishing; and 578 in the building sector.
The Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has finalized the ranking of the best performing companies in 2018 according to the net turnover, the operating profit, the efficiency of human resources and the invested capital. The most powerful companies in industry, R&D and high-tech, services, agriculture, forestry and fisheries, trade, tourism, and building will be awarded at the Gala of the National Top 2019 Companies taking place on November 7 at the Romexpo exhibition compound.
More than 600 guests - representatives of the best performing companies, of the central public authorities, as well as presidents of the County Chambers of Commerce are expected to attend the event.
