Registrations of self-employed persons and businesses over January - October 2016 , down 6.99 percent

Registrations of self-employed persons and businesses over January - October 2016 stood at 92,567, down 6.99 percent from the 99,521 registered in the same period of the year before, shows data released by the National Trade Register Office (ONRC).

Most registrations were recorded in Bucharest: 15,290 (down 5.67 percent from Jan - Oct 2015) and in the counties of Cluj - 4,993 (down 4.92 percent), Timis - 4,109 (+ 0.49 percent) and Ilfov - 3,854 (down 7.75 percent).

The number of registrations of self-employed persons and businesses was lowest in the counties of Covasna - 742 (down 0.93 pct from Jan - Oct 2015) and Ialomita - 783 ( down 12.71 pct).
