Six-month business dissolutions at 18,570, roughly 46 pct higher YoY

Business dissolutions in the first six months of the year were up 46.36 percent YoY, standing at 18,570 compared to 12,688 in the same period of the year before, shows data centralized by the National Trade Register Office (ONRC).

Bucharest tops the list with most company dissolutions - 3,757 (up 40.87 pct compared to H1 2017), followed by the counties of Cluj with 958 (+54.27 pct), Timis - 969 (+49.77 pct) and Constanta - 958 (+54.27 pct).

The counties with the least number of dissolutions are Covasna - with 91 (+51.67 pct), Harghita - 107 (-24.65 pct) and Vaslui (+ 23.96 pct).

The counties with the highest YoY percentage increase in the number of shut down companies are Olt (+198.41 pct), Botosani (+150 pct), Ialomita (+137.93 pct), Giurgiu (+131.88), and Vrancea (+105.45 pct).
