The business people in Hong Kong interested in the IT&C sector in Romania

The business people in Hong Kong are interested by the IT&C of Romania state the officials of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bucharest (CCIB) which organised in the capital city an economic mission to facilitate an exchange of ideas and information.

The economic  mission organised by the Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong of China (HKCCC) was led by Warren Law, executive manager of COV Capital Group, investment company with offices in Beijing Hong Kong,Taipei and Silicon Valley (US) and Amy Siu, the chairman of HKCCC the press release shows.

The visit is part of the programme of this Chamber to offer to the member companies with activities both in the Administrative Region of Hong Kong as well as in continental China, opportunities for extension of the business in the EU.


The Chinese delegation was made of business people who work in the technology of information and communications, logistics and urban planning, food industry and drinks, as well as the consultancy in the fiscal domain. The main objectives  of the meeting aimed at a better communication of the guests of the economic environment and investment environment in Romania,as well as the indentification of business opportunities in our country.

The guests were presented the main sectors which offer the business opportunities, including investments with accent on the domain of technology of information and communications.

In the first seven months of this year the statistics indicated a value of the commercial exchanges with RAS Hong Kong of 86.8 million dollars out of which the exports to RAS Hong Kong were 73.5 million dollars up by 147%against the similar period of the previous year, while the import was 13.3 million dollars up by 60% against the total of the imports registered in the first seven months of the previous year.
