Top 300 of the biggest companies in Romania with business of over 1 billion lei annually
The first 300 companies in Romania had last year a turn over of 440 billion lei (100 billion euro) up by 4% against 2014. The result represents a third of the total turnover of the local companies (1,222 billion lei in 2015) and the growth of the big companies is in line with the total business growth.
Automobile Dacia was in 2015 for the third time in a row the biggest company in Romania according to the turnover surpassing OMV Petrom SA. Dacia had business of 19.1 billion lei up by 2% against 2014, the second position being occupied by OMV Petrom Marketing and the third being OMV Petrom SA. The three companies are the only in the local economy which managed in 2015 to get over 10 billion lei, shows an analysis of ZF on the basis of the data from Registrul Comertului, according to Ziarul Financiar.
The preliminary data for 2015 ( there companies whose balance sheet is not the site of mfinante.ro) show that the Romanian economy has 116 companies which had over one billion lei as turnover last year.
Dedeman Bacau is the biggest entrepreneurial company and in the general top is the 16th. In top 100 there are nine companies controlled by local entrepreneurs and they are joined by Banca Transilvania, The entrepreneurial companies in top 100 are on profit with the exception of RCS&RDS which reported a loss of 22 million lei last year. On the other hand, in top 100 there are 16 multinational companies with losses but the ‘ champions’ of the state at this chapter. The turnover of the companies in Romania increased by almost 5% last year at 1,222 billion lei, the best result reached ever by the companies in Romania show the data from Registrul Comertului. In euro, the exchange rate of3.68 lei/euro means that 2008 is one reference year when business got close to 300 billion euro.
