Business forum Romanian –Greek dedicated to tourism

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bucharest (CCIB) and the chamber of commerce and industry Evia (CCI Evia) from the Hellenic Republic organized a business forum in the domain of tourism at which took part Aristotelis Xenakis the new minister for economic and commercial affairs in the Embassy of the Hellenic Republic to Romania.

There were also business people representing 11 Greek tour operator companies and specialized on such services as outgoing, ingoing, cultural tourism, youth tourism, adventure and extreme sports tourism, eco-tourism, spa tourism, business tourism, transfers, auto rentals, as well as representatives of the business Romanian community interested to collaborate with Greek partners in the hospitality industry.

Welcoming the Greek delegation , the general manager of CCIB, George Vodislav said that this was the second  business forum organized with CCI Evia over the half part of the year, thus putting to value the provisions of the Memoranudm of cooperation signed by the two chambers on 5 July 2018.

On 31 August 2018 the value of the commercial exchanges of Romania and the Hellenic Republic was 1,322.3 million euro (+16.4% against the same period of the previous year) out of which deliveries to this country were worth 684.6 million euro (+20.7%) and the Romanian imports were worth 637.7 million euro (+12.2%). On 31 October 2018 there were in Romania 7,261 companies with Greek capital, with 1.35 billion euro social capital subscribed, the Hellenic Republic being 9 in the top of foreign investors in Romania.
